there are many programs (you can download and put on a cd), you put the cd in just after booting the computer, then it will let you change your password, like it goes in windows, and then once you're there, you can change the password.

Remove the cmos battery from the computer.
It looks like a big watch battery and is mounted on the motherboard. This resets all passwords on the computer to default which is none. Replace it after about 1 minute and your good to go, but you will have to reset your time and date. This is what a Tech would do except he would charge you about $100 bucks.

Write your password on a Post-It note and stick it to your monitor. Works for me.

I always write down all my passwords on paper and put them in the desk drawer. That way I always have them.
