My Anime Journey
By Aleaha Sisson
Once upon a time, there was a girl loved cartoons. This girl loved cartoons so much that her mother had to bodily remove her from in front of the screen. Yet no matter how hard the mother tried she could not keep the girl away from the TV.
The girl grew and became bored with the looney toons and Donald Ducks. She searched and searched for something more. One morning she happened upon a not so fantastic show called Sailor Moon. Still be young the girl fell prey to the floating hair and sparkling transformations. Soon she was going to school late just so she could watch.Eventually that show stopped showing.
Still in denial about her growing problem the girl grew somemore. She left childhood for those oh so exciting young adult years. She met someone else who had fallen prey to the crafty show Sailor Moon. This new friend showed her a new show and it was called Fushigi Yuugi.
The girl fell in love with all the pretty boy's with long hair and shinning eyes. She finaly admited to her self that anime was what she loved and began searching for more. She found show's like Escaflowne and Blue Seed, Tenchi Muyo.
She left her friend behind and moved out on her own. She had a tv and a cable box. She found Adult Swim, and met some new shows that weren't silly like Sailor Moon or Fushigi Yuugi. She got to see Cowboy Bebop and learned that fairy tails don't always have a happy ending.
But then the girl saw the show that would reach in through her eye's and still her brain. Inuyasha with his puppie ears and bad additude stole her heart before Kagome could even say her first sit.
From there the obsession with anime grew to enormouse preportions. From once and a while tell all the time. From english dub to english sub. From hearing japanese as jibberish, to calling my father BAKA. The girl was transformed from a kid that liked cartoons to a full blown collection buying, fanfiction writing, manga reading OTAKU!
(Hee hee this must have been THE most elaberit way to say that Inuyasha is my favorite, but I was inspired by the question to be silly.)

You definitely picked series which have lots of episodes. I think out of all of them, Full Metal Alchemist is my favorite. It talks about racism, taking bad shortcuts in life, and the desire for ultimate power. Plus, it has great action and the alchemy is so cool.
It also can be watched over and over again.
You should know though Case Closed is one of the most viewed anime titles in Japan. The TV ratings there for the series is so high, it has to be good.

I'm soon going to get cable next week on September 5th (3 days after my birthday) so I would just guess InuYasha and Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm going to see why it's so cool. (Yay)!
