Vegas, yes. San Jose, no. My reasons are the same from your basketball question. BTW, they do have minor league teams. Las Vegas 51's, (AA) and San Jose has 3.

san jose because near san jose is oakland and san francisco both of which have teams, only if oakland moves to san jose

Vegas no becuase of gambling and the heat. also vegas is mostly tourists. Most of the service industry in Vegas is tourism and casino workers. The casino's don't want competition for top tourist dollar.

SJ no becuase the Giants have territorial rights and most of the A's fans live in the East Bay (Alameda, where they r now. Contra Costa, inland and rich. AND Sacramento becuase the rivercats r there). SJ has horrible traffice and everyone hates driving there.

las vegas is mostly transient and will not have a successful fan base

the bay area already has a lot of teams in it. it would not gain much fan base due to baseball, football and hockey already taking up most of the sports junkies.

If the stadium was fully enclosed, otherwise you won't get alot of fans in the stands in 100 plus degree heat.
