Depends on your delivery. Some people are ready to go back in a couple weeks. Most doctors want you to wait til your six week check-up, but it also depends on your job that you do. I work in a medical facility and do alot of lifting so I had to wait 6 weeks with my second child, but i went back in 2 with my first when i tought pre-school only because they didnt offer maternity leave or sick leave and being a single mom, no money, no eating.
I say just take your time and enjoy, esp if your job allows you to remain off and if you have the income to allow you too. Time with your baby it is the most important time you will ever spend.

The average is usually 4-6 weeks . However it all depends I think on your body's ability. Some women have terrible births . With lots of tearing and or ripping. I had a very easy delivery with my second child i didn't even push her out. I didn't tear or rip . I could have went to work 3 days afterwords. However unless money is tight I would tell you to wait 6 weeks and enjoy the time with your new baby.

It will depend on you and your body's ability to recover. The general consensus is that for a normal delivery it will take 6 weeks and for a C-section it will take 10 weeks. After I delivered, it took me several months to get back to the activity level I had even while I was pregnant. So if after 6 weeks you still don't feel like yourself, don't worry. If there is anything that particularly concerns you, speak with your general practitioner or your OB/GYN.

It depends on how your delivery went, or how you delivered. I had a C-Section, and I was back at work after only 3 weeks. I had to take it easy because of the surgery, but your body will let you know when you are comfortable enough to work again.

It depends if you had a natural birth or a c-setion. I had a c-section and I couldn't stand up straight for 4 weeks and didn't feel "normal" for 8 weeks. So, really, it just depends on the type of birth and how well your body heals.

I went back to work after 5 weeks. But it depends on what you you do. I mean if you sit on your butt all day you can get back to work faster than if you stand or move alot. It also depends on what kind of delivery you have. Everything was fine with me. But if you have a cesearen you might need extra time. You just really need to listen to your body. And your doctor!

I had my daughter in the middle of January here in Minnesota, and the following weekend I pushed my husbands car out of a snow bank. Hence the word I, not we. It varies for evey different woman. If you don't feel ready then you need to figure out if you are not ready mentally or physically. Then you can decide when it it is time to go back!

The average time is about 4-8 weeks. If you have a C-Section, it's a longer time off from work.
