Several ways:

- running XDMCP protocol transport, this is GUI with desktop all the way.

- running telnet/ssh as a command line, use X GUI transports for those applications with a graphical output.

Either way, it is likely an "X11 Server" client need to be downloaded for Windows, it also usually contains an ssh client.

If you're talking specifically about Windows' Remote Dekstop feature then you can't ever, they're completely different operating systems and Remote Desktop is a feature specific to Windows.

However, there are other applications out there that do the same job. VNC is one of the original and most reliable, and it's free and multi-platform so you shouldn't have any hassle getting the two machines talking to each other.
