many colleges have Disabled Students' Programs and Services departments. I am a student at a community college near San Francisco, CA, and have a disability. The Disabled Students' Programs and Services department at the school I attend has a website. Their address is:

http://marin.cc.ca.us/disabled/

You should be able to get services at any school you attend. Ask to talk to the Section 504 coordinator. Section 504 is a Federal law that protects college students who have disabilities.

Hope this helps.

ALL Colleges have a special programs office to HELP with making sure the instructor is aware of any accomodations necessary for any student with disabilities - - and this INCLUDES Autism Spectrum Disorders. So whatever college you select for your Autistic Student -- take their IEP from their HS Years (and exit Evaluation) to the Disabled Student Services office and start working right there.

Go to your high school counselor, if you are in school. They should have access to listings of the colleges and universities that offer support services that you would need. If you are not in school at this time, then you will have to use an online search for colleges. Try Fastweb.com. They have a college search that will let you enter the features you are looking for in a college. Good luck.
