I think that the more educated you become, the less able you are to accept the ridiculousness of republicanism. Its a process. I came from a republican family, and all the white priveledge it afforded. My grandmother was in politics,and i remember wanting Reagan to win when I was 13. My parents wanted Bush Sr. later on, and so did I. By the time I finished my 12th grade american govt. class, I was having doubts, and by the second or third year of college, I could no longer see the merits of that party. Learning about the world, and how the US plays into the fates of the masses opens they eyes pretty wide.
