The way I learned was like this:
Sit in a bathtub with a large glass of drinking water. Take a big mouthful of water, then spurt it out in a stream in front of you (slowly) simultaneously breathing in & out of your nose. Then try without the water (making a "blowing a raspberry" sort of noise, but with your still pursed lips rather than your tongue). Then try sustaining the raspberry noise while simultaneously emptying your puffed cheeks and refilling your lungs through your nose.
Just keep trying! Once you get it, it's like riding a bike.

It's hardest to do it on flute because of the amount of air it takes and the embouchure. Also the tone suffers greatly when you do it. I've never mastered it, but I have heard some people demonstrate it, usually while trilling to cover up the less than perfect tone quality. I know there is something to do with the tongue pushing the air out. I'm guessing that low notes would not be good for learning how to circular breathe. High notes could be hard too because they require such fast air. Somewhere around middle-line B could be a good place to try. Maybe when I'm sitting around waiting for rehearsal to start, I'll have to try it again. Good luck to you.

I don't know why this question makes me giggle... I'm just tired I guess.
The only thing I can think of is MAYBE you'll have luck checking online for things about Kenny G.... a few years ago it was such a "biggie" that he could hold a note seemingly forever on his saxophone because he did circular breathing.
Maybe if you checked around you could find interviews where he describes his technique or how he learned it?

Saw a piece of pvc pipe used as a didgeridoo in a park in Australia, if you need something to practice with - about four feet long.

think it is the same as square breathing.
that's breath in for 4 seconds hold for 2 seconds then breath out for 4 seconds. repeat. its very calming.
