I am new here but decide to take a chance and post. My last period was on June 30. Since then I have take 2 dollar tree test which both come up negative. I have a little nausea during the day, starting to gain weight, constipated, and sleepy. But what is really weird is the taste of metal in my mouth occasionally. I've never heard of that before. But is possible that I am pregnant or is it all in my head? Are Dollar test accurate? How common is it or women not to register on urinetest? Sure the common answer is to go to the doctor, but no insurance :(! Anyone ever been through this or know someone who has?

I would goand see your doctor and have them take a BLOOD test or an ultrasound. I thought I was in the clear when a home pregnancy test was negative. Then, the urine test at the doctor's clinic came back negative. Luckily they automatically send it to their lab too, because the lab test came back positive. We weren't really sure until we saw the ultrasound.

Long story short, blood test is more accurate. Spend the money and find out for sure! (Or find a free clinic that will test you at no cost)

And about the symptoms, it can be a number of things. Stress from a possible pregnancy can delay your period. All of the pregnancy symptoms can come from just thinking you're pregnant. So go get tested!

You need to go to a doctor at once. Dollar store pregnancy test are accurate especially the New Choice ones as stated on peeonastick.com. However if u haven't had a period in 60 days something more serious might be going on or you might need to get blood work done.

I am sorry but I don't mean to be flip but what are you doing having a baby with no insurance and you can even afford any out of pocket expense? You need to get on government assistance. You are putting your health and the health of an unborn child at risk. There is no dollar amount you can put on the life of a child and yours for that matter.

I don't really have an answer for you, just wanted to let you know I am going through it right now too. I am only 10 days past when my period was due though. I have taken 3 Dollar Tree tests, also negative. I have also been wondering about their accuracy. I had used them with my last pregnancy, two years ago, and had no problems with them, so I am confused now. I will let you know how this goes, I am going to go by a few more tonight same brand and try again. Good luck to you.

Go to your local free clinic and have them check you. Not all pregnancy tests are accurate and you may require a blood test. Out of 5 pregnancies, 2 of mine had to be determined by blood because urine was negative. Also when I was younger I had every sign of pregnancy for 3 months but tested negative. The doctor said I had a psychological pregnancy...my mind made my body believe I was pregnant. Good luck either way.

It might be in your head, but certainly it is important that you find out for sure. Go to a Planned Parenthood clinic or others of the same kind. I sure you can get a free pregnancy test that will be accurate. If you have a kid inside, you will want to do the right thing and not wait and risk damaging the kid in some way. You will find a lot of relief from knowing for sure one way or another. Good luck.

Congrats! Same happened to me, I didnt know I was pregnant until I was about 11 weeks, because I had my period, so I didnt think anything of it! I was still even taking my birth control pills!! As advice for next time, those cheap preg. tests dont work for anything!! Just go for the blood test! (by the way, the blood test I got at a local hospital was only $15, I cant believe they charged you $40!?) Best of luck!

Sometimes urine test are not correct and they may have to determine by a blood test. It also can come from stress and other things such as disease or blood clots. U may want to go to the local clinic if no insurance. U may be pregnant in ur tubes.
