Depends on what type of team. Recreational teams are usually for "fun" and for beginners, so training is not really necessary. Competitive club teams usually hold tryouts which are more "serious" and one of the things that all (good) coaches will do during tryouts 100% guarantee is copious amounts of running. Since you have under a month, run everyday 1mile one day 2miles the next day and so on. Or 1 mile one week then 5 miles the next and go from there. I'll tell you what I told this other person...juggle. Juggle a lot with a size 1 soccer ball (or even a tennis ball) that will help you tremendously with ball control. And one more thing...patience. Very important. Advancing the ball forward during a match isn't always the ONLY option, look for the easy pass. Patience while defending a player, wait for him/her to make a mistake...anxiously trying to steal the ball will get you burnt!
