If you can believe the media ,I would have to say war ravaged,genocidal, disease infected, starvation is the norm.

There are many countries in Africa. Many people think Africa is a single country, but it's not. But on average, they have some of the lowest living standards in the world. Thousands of children under the age of 10 starve to death every day of the week. South Africa probably has the highest standard of living there.

Africa is a massive continent comprised of many varying countries. That's like asking what the standard of living is for all of North America, to include Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.

Some countries, such as Egypt, have a relatively high degree of wealth. Others are representative of the term "third world."

I'm not religious. I'm an athiest...but I still sponsor a child through the religious organization because it's a good thing. You can really help some kids out bigtime. My sponsored child is 9 years old and his father is dead.

I think you need to clarify your question a bit...do you mean the standard of living, or the standard/average earnings, or what?

i lived in africa for nearly 2 years.. working for my friend's dad's company.. we had a couple boats and would show tourists around for $100 american dollars a day... i spent all day playing ont he beaches, drinking cocktails and schmoozing with beautiful ladies.... once you translated teh money back from dollars.. .. you could say my standard of living was that of a lazy azz prince and i loved it.
