A friend of mine is having a girl and wants the childs name to start with R. She is also trying to squeeze her mothers name Gene in it somewhere. This is about the only combo I can come up with. Anyone out there have any ideas? She doesn't like normal names. She already has a daughter named Kenzia Hart.

I don't think she will go for Regine where it's too normal.

OK, I didn't like Regenia too much, but it's adorable to shorten it to Reggie. Two little girls named Reggie and Kenzie! Cute.

Well, my favorite R name for a girl is Rose, but of course I have a little girl named Rose!

Regan is another one that is also kind of close to Gene.

Or you could use a name with a smiliar meaning to Gene as a middle name perhaps: Della, Gentry, or Nabila for example.

Or use an R name and use Jean as a middle name.

That name looks misspelled. Is it "reh-je-nia" or Regina "ru-jee-nuh?"
If it's pronounced just like Regina, what's the point of making it hard to spell? If it's a unique name pronounced unlike any other name, then it's okay, but not great.

Well I like the name because my mom's name is Regina. I don't like your spelling though. My mom's nickname used to be Gene or Gina, but in the last few years everyone has been calling her Reg or Reggie. Regina means Queen by the way.

Here in Brazil, Regenia is not a stranger kind of name. Here it is a very pretty name and has linking with the word queen in its origin (that it comes of the Greek).

I think it's a good idea your friend homage his mother.

Good luck, I wait that you finds a name for the child.

Umm, I have a cat named Regina. I guess you could spell it Regena instead. I dont personally like that name though. We just named the cat after my great aunt bc she was old and living with us at the time, so she liked the idea.

i like regena, it's so magical-sounding. a good r name is Renee, but that hasn't got the gene in it..... gene means fortunate, and jean means god's precious gift, so maybe instead of using the name to honor her mother she could use the meaning.
ps. Regina means a queen, so you would be dealing with a princess!

Regenia is nice but you can modify it to Regine a Latin name meaning Queen!
