I don't think that people should or shouldn't do something just because it doesn't work for other people. I DO however, think that way too many people get married for the wrong reasons. Marrying someone should not involve any sort of pressure or crazy idealistic fantasies. Marriage is very difficult sometimes and love does not carry people through everything, There also has to be respect, trust and loyalty. Many people feel the beginnings of love and think that their relationship will be wonderful forever. SOOOOOO wrong. It's tough, messy and dirty but if it's done for the right reasons, marriage is totally worth it.

I fell like that sometimes too. The reason why most marriages ends in divorce because people don't want to make it work. Some marriages end for stupid minor reasons. I think that a law should be passed to make people go to marriage counsoling for a year to see if they can fix the marriage before getting a divorce.

Gee Whiz...Marriage is waaaaaaaaaaaay overrated! It's two people who love each that's what counts. Not the paper and all the little marriage ceremonies that most all girls look foward to when they grow-up. You must ask this question before getting married, are you in love with the idea of getting married or in love with the girl you're with.

Cuz love and sharing life is so much better than living alone Only half are ending that way and people should read compatability books (astrology) to help them know who is good with them. We are not all the same!

It is really important for a women to get married, I think they feel needed, or they feel like they belong somewhere, Who know? But I'm sure if it were up to use men, then nobody would be married. "Why buy milk when you have the cow".

Marriage is a choice and we all should have someone to share of lives. The trick is finding someone who is compatible with you.

No, it's not necessary if you don't feel it is. For many people, however, the jackpot is worth the risk. Just consider how many play the lottery, and how few actually win.

I feel that commitment does not require a court document, a party or jewelry. If there are kids involved, or you plan on having kids it makes sense, but otherwise, there's no real benefit.
