all the movies i copy to blank dvd disc skips in my dvd player. There are no scratches on the discs but they still skip. is there a way make the skipping stop?

It sounds like you are burning the DVD at too high of a speed. A movie can technically be burn to a DVD at 16x speed. However, as you increase the speed, you increase the risk of an error occurring. A DVD player reads the tracks on a DVD disk, errors on the DVD causes the player to lose track and keeps skipping until it can another track that it can read. Try to burn it at a slower speed 1x, 2x or 4x speed. It takes longer but it is worth it. Important, you might also try using another brand of DVD blanks. The no brands are cheap but can cause errors. TDK, Memorex, Sony and Fuji are good brands.

as ALL ABOUT WINSTON said i would try burning it at slower speed and if that dosent work try using a differnet dvd format (DVD-R or DVD+R) what you can also try is using a different program, one of the programs i really like is DVD SHRINK which is free you can download it from here :

r u sUre there is no one jumping around or anything when ur copying them,mine did the same thing and when no one was home i tried it again an it worked.

Have you tried writing at a lower speed ?
