First of all, the true definition of "satanism" is "one who worships himself." The reason being Lucifer's love for himself, or his vanity, is what caused his fall from heaven. So therefore, yes, Marilyn Manson is a satanist. He does not worship the devil. He worships himself. He is his own god. Wikipedia is wrong, because it's not actual fact. All the info in Wikipedia are entries from readers, who in this case, are uneducated.

I saw this really rare photo of him in the church choir as a teen before and then i saw video of him before mm on trl a loooooong time ago and he was looking like a california surfer boy with the long blond hair, no makeup, t-shirt....
i think it's ( the satan stuff) what worked to get them signed.

I don't think he ever claimed to be a satanist. He rejects Christianity vocally and often, but he never claimed to worship Satan (or anything else besides drugs).
