theres nothing that you can do to prevent food from getting stuck in your braces. but you can carry a pocket size mirror in your bag and pack a few tooth picks in your pocket everyday. After you eat anything at school, you can check the mirror for food.
Hope that helps!!

Just keep the little pick thing they gave you and run it between your braces and teeth after you eat.. I wore braces for 2 1/2 years and food never stops getting caught. Just make sure and clean your teath

I had braces a while ago, and I remmber them telling you to make sure you brush your teeth after every meal, or even maybe step off to the washroom and rise your mouth out with water or mouthwash.

Don't eat sandwiches or anything you have to bite down into!! If you can eat something that you can stick in your mouth and chew in the back, that will help. You could always bring a toothbrush and brush your teeth in the bathroom.

when i had braces i kept a travel tooth brush in my bag and after any snack and after lunch i would just excuse myself to the bathroom and do a quick touch up with the tooth brush by just ading water or you can do it dry too
**and for minty fresh breath all day use toothpaste

You should use care & take small bites & chew slowly with crunchy/crispy foods. Go 2 ur orthodontist to see if he can take the piece of food out.

The easiest thing is to just get one of those things to clean out your teeth like floss on a stick or whatever it is and clean it out that way...
