Has anyone played Baldur's Gate II?

I am trying to kill Rayic Gathras but I cannot get past the two stone golems. I'm using blunt weapons but they are not doing enough damage. Does anyone know how to kill stone golems, any special D & D rules I'm forgetting? I believe I've tried everything.

lightning all the way!
stone golems dont take lightning spells to good

try chain lightning or prismatic spray
