There are billions of stars in our galaxy and billions of other galaxy's. Many of those stars have planets orbiting them so it seems to me the chances of there being life off the earth are pretty favorable.
As for as UFOs, that's a different story. I doubt aliens have visited us mostly because of the distances involved and time it would take to travel between stars. I would love it if it was true but I remain unconvinced.

of course their is,we are here and weather you believe in god or science, how can their be a doubt, god made such a big universe, that he would have put others on other planets,as if life can survive on this planet than why not,the other question is are they still around....the universe is an old cold place,we know nothing about it,i don't believe in crafts from another system.....i light year is like 6 trillion miles, the closest star is like 45 light yrs, going through the mathematics, the warping of space and time......the beings would have to be extreme advance, they would look at us as we do say i don't know, insects,we are very young in the universe, not even close to being universally advanced....so much to learn, yet so Little time......the only why not i can think of would be that all are long gone, disease,wars,enlightenment........but who can really truly say.......and i think the universe is older than 14 billion yrs,and then you get on whole new subjects like dimensional travels......it goes on and on......

I think it would be very arrogant of us as human beings to think we are the only form of life in the universe considering the vastness of it. Our ancestors conceived that the heavens were the abode of the gods and goddesses and other supernatural beings - indeed, the planets themselves were thought to be these living, immortal creatures.

At the dawn of the scientific age, when astronomers first turned telescopes on these objects and realized that they were planets like the Earth, thoughts of extraterrestrial life turned from the supernatural to the natural - it was natural to populate these distant worlds with plants and animals and even thinking creatures perhaps not unlike ourselves.

Yes the universe is so vast there is probably other life out there. However becasue of the vast distance to cover we may never find it... Even at the speed of light it takes 4 years to reach the nearest star and we are nowhere near that

Think the odds say that it is highly possible, but any culture advanced enough to develop space travel between galaxies would never waste their time visiting Earth.

Its possible. The Universe is HUGE! There has to be something else out there. Its too big to be just a bunch of floating rocks.

of course, even if live on earth was ambiguous and random, then there has to be another set of life on a different planet in the universe

Yes, but I don't think they are so crazy looking like what we see on TV. I imagine it is much more similar to us, just too far away for us to know.
