I may be way off base here but I think something like that was done during the Vietnam War. A number of people set themselves on fire to protest the war. I'm not sure it helped as the American voters are really stupid but with a 9 trillion dollar national debt and droves of dead soldiers, I don't think they will be around too much longer.

That would be pretty funny if it tied into your title better.
When people see that title they start thinking off all the mean and ignorrant crap that usually follows a question like that.
but you threw a curve with that joke, pretty good, but people are goimg to have to read it twice to understand it doesn't go with the question.
