What are you talking about. There are plenty of women who have careers and hold a lot of responsibilities. Children are not psychiatrically ill because the mother works and has a career. It is because people like you who think there are issues with women who work and it causes problems in the home. Among the million other things like abuse and drug addicted parents.

Where do you get that thought? Domestic is a dying issue due to the fact that people can barely live on 1 income family. And the responsibility... I have found that more women are doing more and more... working, taking care of children, the home...

Sounds like you're asking two completely different questions! I don't know which women your hanging out with that give you these ideas-but speaking for myself-I would hvae to say that women DO take the responsibility! As far as the domestic thing goes and the rate of mentally ill children in the US goes-A lot of reasons behind it have to do with drug abuse of BOTH the parents, single MOM raisng her kids because the irresponsible dad ran off, or physical abuse from parents or family members. You, my friend, need to look at the issues behind your statements!

As a woman, a southern woman I might add, I have to say that I agree with you. I believe that everyone, women and men should be treated fairly and on the same level, but, I just think that most women want and expect to much from everyone, but when it comes down to it, most that I know, always turn back to a man for support, and I don't mean only financially. I love being a domestic housewife, taking care of my children, cooking supper for my husband, keeping my house clean. I think it is great for women to be independent, and I commend you ladies that are, but I just prefer the old way of life, the husband works and makes the money and the woman takes care of her husband and family.......don't crack on me ladies, I am just an old-fashioned southern gal.

I can't speak for some women. But I work and take care of the family, cleaning, laundry and ironing etc. I work hard but I am old fashioned in some ways and like to give my family the best. I think that society puts all of these stupid thoughts into our heads telling us we have to have it all and get it all. I don't have a problem with women who want a career, but your family has to come first, so either have kids then get the job or don' have kids. I never had my children in daycare, I put my career on hold because I knew that being home with them was best.

Hey, if you can support your wife and kids by yourself, go for it, dude! It's easier to be "domestic" when you have plenty of cash. You think, all these women *chose* to work AND run the household at the same time? Think again.
