OH anger is always the best sellers!
Get mad and write about some lost love or lost dream.
Most songwriters have used their friends pain and the newspaper as a creative diving board.
The most popular is a love song. I personally like the songs that make get you off your butt and dance.
Get the words down on paper then listen for the "right" tunes to go with it.

Write a song about first wanting to hang out with someone, and then wanting to hang on to that someone and then needing to hang up with that someone. Call it "Hanging"
