It helps to be rich. You can be really dull company and ugly and people will still pretend they love you. And as long as you are rich for your whole life it won't matter that they are faking it. Of course, if you should become poor during that time you will end up very lonely.
Try to cultivate a sparkling personality and a sharp wit.
Try to find people who are nice to be with. No point cultivating popularity with vapid types.

this is What i think since I'm popular i don't really know what i did besides join the cheer leading team and be a cheerleader and i also dressed like everyone but that doesn't always mean you'll be popular being popular is really hard work trust me it took me 1 to 2 years just to become popular and it might take a little while also you just have to really be just your self it might help b/c i was a cheerleader since i was 8 and i quit but just b/c i joined the cheer leading team again didn't make me popular well actually it did a little but it was mainly b/c i was being myself!AND again this is just what i think!and i just turned 12 so I'm also young so popular doesn't really mean anything totally!

Why do you want to be popular? Learn to love yourself first and foremost. If you became popular like you long for, you'll be very unhappy and empty inside cuz you have no self esteem. Work on yourself and accept who you are and you'll see how things will change for the best. Heck, you don't want to be a slave to the opinions of others at all times. So appreciate who you are and embrace your individuality- stay real girl.

Before attempting to try to become popular, ask whether you even care about the admiration of the people you are trying to impress. You might end up asking yourself, "Why do I give a damn about what these people think of me?"
Don't seek affirmation through trying to be popular. Wander to the hum of your own kazoo. Be yourself. Be respectful of others. People will be drawn to you for the greatness that is you. Moreover, you won't feel like a fraud trying to shamelessly impress people with an act.
