How many dvds do you have and when did you start collecting? I am trying to see how many people out there have good sized collections - other than me...

Just dvd's alone would have to be 600 that includes tv series and multidisc dvds.... with VHS, the collection is over 2000. And its not my collection, its my boyfriends, hes obsessed with movies. He buys one or four every week. So how many DVDs do you have?

Between my husband and I we have about 450 DVD's (and that's counting sets as 1) We collect mainly british horror/tv, Hong Kong, Bollywood and other assorted films that we like. We've been collecting since we got grown up jobs. We never approach it like a collection, we just get films that we like. Because so many are foreign or not easy to find, we have to buy the films that we want to watch. I took a trip to HK a year and a half ago and brought back 72 DVD's because I hadn't been able to find them in the US for cheap.

I own 237 DVD's now. I discarded some when I moved, so the total would've been nearly 270. I also own 439 VHS tapes. I have been buying them longer. I think I bought my first DVD's and player in 2002 and my first VCR in 1991. I have some DVD's from different regions of the world, ie USA=1, Japan=2, Hong Kong=3 and Red China=6. I have a special all-region DVD player.

Im at or around 500 DVD's I do that "12 DVD's for the price of 1" thing a lot. I just order, fullfill my agreement, cancel then do it all over again. Its not really illegal becuase it advertises like the so there.

My grand total is dangerously close to 400. I have every single dvd in its own place seperated by decade, genre, stand up comedy, true stories, tv box sets, comedies, action, holiday, and especially one special section of movie that my neices are "allowed" to watch considering their age. Everything is stored nicely in leather dvd storage boxes and looks fantastic in my space with my television and dvd player, etc...
but every tuesday the collection grows so ask me again in a couple of months!!!

Probably over 600 and a few tv series. Glad to see I'm not the only one out there who has a dvd store in their home. :o)

around 100...that doesn't include multiple disc sets (i.e. tv on dvd) with those i have around 125...i've been collecting since we got a dvd player late 2002

Got 35000 of them and counting, starts collecting since 1992 I just tore down my other garrage make it into a movie room just to make room for my massive collections
