hey, i'm a 17 year old male who used to be reeeally fit until this summer... since the begining of this summer i have piled on 66+lbs. due to lack of exercise, binge eating, eating sugary foods & other issues such as my "urge to gain weight" which means i enjoy myself overweight & plan on continuing to gain weight...

yet i have noticed in the past month or so i have started getting chest pains. like when i climb stairs, eat ALOT or sometimes no apparent reason...

my question is am i too young to have a heart attack?? i mean my parents & doctors say i MUST lose weight, watch what i eat & work out!but i'm like screw that!! so can anybody help me with this??

my current stats are 5'10 217lbs. up from 155ish a few months ago! i also have a rather round belly @ 46 inches which makes me look pregnant which i find quite amusing. i also have huge thighs which is an utter pain AND also man boobs "moobs" which are slightly unsightly but w/e keep in mind i was inshape a few months ago...

yes. it is possible for a 17 year old to get a heart attack.

even though it is hard, you really need to start exercising and eating healthy. if you don't your problems could get worse.

Dude- you have to make a choice. Do you want to live a long/happy/healthy life? If so, then you need to get yourself off the couch and find some exercise/activity that you enjoy.

Your diet is just as important as getting exercise. If it's sweets that you crave, substitute that for some fruit. And most importantly, educate youself on serving sizes. It sounds like you're *way* overdoing the portions.

It's possible that *some* of the weight you put on is because you're still growing. But, that's no excuse for that sort of weight gain.

No, you're not too young to have a heart attack if you have some heart defect. You should immediately tell your doctor/ parents that you're having these chest pains.

Get some pride in yourself and get yourself into shape!

i doesn't advise this plan of action. once you're youthful, as you're, it really is way less complicated to loose the burden. As you become older your metabolism slows and also you'll evidently income weight. in case you proceed in this direction you're damning your self to weight problems and it is going to likely be fairly confusing to loose the burden later on without spending a lot of money to have it surgically bumped off, (many scars). stay skinny even as you could! The chest pains and such are from wearing the more beneficial poundage round that your body is rebelling adversarial to. ultimately this can lead on to heart issues, asthma, sleep apnea, etc. yet another huge aspect and clarification for loosing the burden is that usually chicks dig a healthful nicely-outfitted male over an overweight one.

Why would you do this to yourself are you trying to kill your self I have never heard of someone wanting to be fat what happened that made you like this and why there must be something else going on and I hope that you can resolve it in a healthier way

is this a project that you're doing to see how differently people treat you in general as opposed to when you were really fit? cuz other than that, I would ask the same question most of us have: why would you purposely do this to yourself? hope you have a clear idea of what you are doing. good luck
