im fourteen and 5'7- 5'8, and i hate it soo much. thats the first thing eveybody always points out where i go, and its starting to get really annoying. plus i feel so self conscious and im a lot more reluctant to go out, because it feels like my height draws extra attention =(

You might hate this, but I think its super fantastic. I always envy you fabulously tall girls. I'm rather short and find it such a pain in the back side. If I need something from the top shelf I have to ask for assistance. If I take my luggage out of the luggage holder in the plane I nearly kill myself. reaching anything is just a major hastle, people pointing you out only have a problem with their own height, Oh yes and I didn't catch whether you are a guy or a girl, so if you're a guy most girls find tall men super hot. So either way don't worry. You re great the way you are. You just have to except yourself, I'm short and so what....... Have a fantastic day

My cousin was 1/2 an inch under the navy's maxium height limit. When President Bush did the memorial for the ship that sank (the U.S.S. Cole?) they had a navy person stationed every few feet around the whole ship. On national tv I was able to pick my cousin out because he was standing a good foot above the others. The point? Sometimes being tall has unnoticed benefits.

You are a little tall, but by next year that won't be so obvious. In fact, you are about average for someone a couple of years older. Of course you are self-concious, but hold your head up high and develop a good feeling about all the positive things you have going for you. Short, fat, tall, skinny, red hair, bald, whatever. The kind of people that you want to know will see more than your height.

I think it stinks to be super short. I'm 15 and 5.9 ft so when I was 14 I was 5.8. Believe me its good to be tall of course too tall isnt nice and too short either however your height is fine, just remember there are taller people than you. I always get praised for my height, people always tell me I should be a model, which makes me very proud and happy, being tall is always nice!
The only people that tease me about my height are short fat girls at my school.

No, no, no. Stand tall and proud. People notice now because the boys your age have not caught up with you yet, but believe me, there will be a time when guys love a tall girl with long legs. I was a very awkward teenager, too, but it will pass. Find a sport you like such as tennis or swimming, it will help you become more coordinated and not so awkward. Be happy with who you are.

I know how you feel. Ive been 5'10" since the eighth grade. As long as you stay in good shape then being tall has its advantages. Its hard when you are young like you when like all the guys are short compared to you.. but just wait til after highschool. The extra attention is great =) Lots of men loooove taller women. I know my husband does!

i was that tall at that age too, im 17 now, same height, you are probably done growing, with in the next 2 years everyone around you will shoot up, and you wont feel as uncomfortable...think of it this way...the best models are tall and skinny, you can always get skinny, but no one can increase their height. Most guys love their girls being tall, we have those long sexy legs that they love...so strut ur stuff, and be proud of your height because everyone around you is jealous...

don't be, most models are really tall, and being tall isn't bad at all, nobody will mess with you and it probley means your pretty skinny...and dont worry im 15 and 5'7, but im just as tall as everyone else cuz in my grade there all a year older than me so it evens out...so see, they'll grow into your height, and you'll stop growing

Get over it. Don't worry about things that you can not change. Make the best of it as many people under 5ft would dearly love to have your height. You have something sought after by others use it to your advantage.Good Luck.

Tall chicks are HOTT!!! I am 5'9" and love every inch. The only think I don't like is trying to find women's pants with a 34" inseam. Love what you got girl, there's always someone out there who has it worse.
