I used to work in a jewelry store.

Do not use toothpaste, as this is slightly abrasive and it can remove gold from the jewelry.

The recommended solution is 1/2 water/ 1/2 ammonia. let jewelry soak for 5 -10 minutes, depending on how dirty, then brush with toothbrush.

Rinse in water, so ammonia doesn't sit on skin.

You'll have a perfectly clean ring.

try some tootgh paste on a toothbrush and that should work with all jewelry! I've done it with silver, gold, and sometimes on a diamond! also try some baking soda! more sbaking soda than water in the mixture make it like a paste!

A toothbrush and toothpaste are great. I saved an old electric head that puts a fantastic polish back on my diamond rings.
