Not my tax 'dollars' mate, I pay in pounds.
Also, you people worry too much. It's been in the wrong category for years, you should be happy that Pluto, Ceres and UB313 have been given a category all to themselves.
Pluto may eventually have it's own category as a dual-dwarf planet due to Pluto and it's "moon" Charon technically orbiting each other.

HA! Millions of dollars. Don't we wish.
Who keeps spreading this rumor that science in the US is well funded? It's not. And besides this was an international issue... decided finally in Europe.
And no I don't. But I do care whether or not we recognize that Pluto is a comet and not a planet. Because it's not a planet, and never was, and calling it one just made us look stupid.

Do I care? Not really. But I will always consider it a planet in my book. It's what I was taught and it's how I will always think of it.
Poor Pluto.

I really never planned to visit it anyway. I don't really see the benefit of studying any further away than a place we'll be able to get to in 20 years.

Yes - the people who voted no should be forced to go there and prove it is not.
