you can't.

if you want to use a pc monitor for your ps2 you need a vga adaptor for your ps2, like these:
http://www.gocybershop.ca/customer/home.php?cat=196
http://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q=%22vga+adapter%22+ps2&btnG=Search&meta=

but you cannot plug your ps2 into the usb port of your pc to get your ps2 displayed on the monitor that way.

The USB port on your PS2 is for PS2 peripherals, like the Eye Toy. If you have the PS2 Linux pack you can then network your PS2 to a PC and transfer files back and forward. If you have a video card with a TV in jack, you can feed the PS2 output through your PC to your monitor but you will not be able to use the USB to do this.

these are some answers that I found in a forum, alright

1.No you can't, and no you won't fry your PS2 or your PC if you tried.

USB is just a standard way for more than one device to talk to one another... but they still have to be specifically programmed to talk. Just because two devices are USB doesn't mean that you can just connect them and have something happen.

The PS2 does nothing with its USB ports unless you load a specific game or software that has been programmed to do so. Otherwise, they are just dead connectors on the front of your PS2.

If you want to transfer saves to and from your PC, look into the third-party cheat devices since they often support transferring from your memory card to a USB thumb drive which you can later move to your PC. According to the guys and gals here in the forum, Codebreaker is a decent one to look at.

2.Yes,an No.Yes only if you had what was called the shark port. But the shark port disappered after it was made in my town for some reason. An i have never seen it since.No,B/c look at the usb ports slim end square end nope won't fit.

well, not through USB, but you may be able to plug the component video and audio cables in (if your computer has the ports) or you can download an emulator and play discs directly on your pc. You can also get Dualshock-inspired controllers for pc. If your TV has an s-video output, and your video card has s-video input, you can get the video on your monitor.
