I keep seeing these adds about the US Postal Service hiring. But when you call they want $99.50 for the study materials which they claim is refundable when you pass. I asked a couple of people that work in a post office about this ad and they have never heard of it or had no idea if it was legitimate or not. Does anybody know?

Sounds like a fraud to me.

There are lots of useless classes that advertise in the job ads... taking advantage of desparate people. It's disgusting, there needs to be a higher standard for truth in employment advertising.

Study guides are available at book stores and libraries nationally. There are courses that teach you tricks like mnemonic devices, which associates a word or phrase with a code for quick recall. I didn't find any of those tricks very useful and this particular offer sounds even more slimy. Hit the library, and save your cash.

I highly doubt it.Go to the US postal service website - usps.com it contains all you need to know about openings, upcoming examinations, how to apply online, what to study,it even tells you to eat a light meal the morning of the test, seriously. I doubt any outside company charging 99.50 is gonna tell you anything that you need to know that isn't on the website.

Doesn't sound legitimate to me. Anyone who wants money like this can't be legit.
