Probably not anytime soon. A major fallacy in Bush's thinking is the fact that many people do not want deocracy (or peace). Countries that have ethnic or religious groups that hate each others' guts and want to kill each other are not suitable for democracy. Countries that are overrun with militias, each with its own agenda, are also not suitable for democracy. Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan is currently suitable for democracy, and that isn't going to change without decades or longer of war. Those countries were actually much better off with dictatorships because it is the only way they could know peace. Peace is infinitely more important than democracy.

No! As long as they both cling to hate there will never be peace.
I don't think either one of them wants democracy. That would
remind them of the U.S. and they don't like us.

I believe it will take some time but I feel like we will eventually have peace.
