Sometimes. If you want one, just get something small - in a place that no one will be able to see unless it's your boyfriend or husband. I would not do it on the small of the back. If you wear a bikini, it will still show - exposing it to sunlight over time will cause it to become discolored. If you still want it there, consider putting it right underneath the bikini. It's sexy if only your boyfriend knows its there.

If you want the tattoo seriously go ahead with it! its only what is in your mind that counts not any1elses opinion and don't let other peoples answers put you off!
I'm getting a tribal sign and butterfly tattoo on the bottom of my back and that is pretty big, but it has true meanings to me! And this has been designed for me from Turkey so it isn't following the trend!
So if it what you really really want and wont regret go for it!

I'm a guy and I don't find them turn on.
I think they are a focus point, that's why there are so many on women's lower back -- they are saying, "look at this and not at my bottom -- in any context".
Your eyes cannot help but be drawn to that or an odd piercing.
Now, outside of a "male turn on" I have no problem with self-expression and statements!

Many men do, so long as it's not too big.
Big tattoos can make you look more masculine.
Comparing tattoos is also the fastest way I've seen to get a guy to take off his clothes.
LOL
So, make sure that if you do get one you can show it off and not be embarassed when people ask to see yours.

Get a tasteful one. Butterfly or flower is already cheesy and nasty. Does it really have any significance to you, the flower or butterfly, if not don't get it. Also, don't make it color, cause then it looks tacky and nasty. If you are questing your decision then you probably shouldn't be getting one. Good Luck.

Sorry but I think they're vulgar and horrible. A few decades ago only female sluts and slappers would have had tattoos but the practice then exploded. Does nothing for me as with the equally sluttish practice of piercing!!

small descreet tattoos are extremely cute on a girl, but try not to go for tacky, common tattoo's and opt for a self designed one or get your tattoo artist to work with you to come up with something, ive seen about a million 'cute red devils' 'black panthers' 'roses' and butterflys so just try to come up with something a little cute, a little cheeky, but slightly more tasteful/original.

I personally don't. Many others probably think that a small tattoo is okay, but my own opinion is that they are, as you put it, "rough".
If whoever you are doing this for (I assume), likes it, get one, by all means.

NO just the opp. Feels like you are fancying a bloke. Women's bods are nice just the way they are, preferably smooth and hairless. Don't get anything, well maybe a few diamonds.
fastest way to get a guy to take off his clothes??? Did'nt think we needed encouragement . All one has to do is ask.

a little one is nice. A large one is not. Mad all-over body art is one for the specialists. Remember colours fade; think about what it will look like in ten years
