Whichever way you control them, they are going to die. Grease bands are good against things which climb up from the ground. They have always been the most effective and cheapest method.

You either have apples with codling moth or you have dead moths and nice apples.

an insect growth regulator is available on the market its trade name is fenoxycarb(insegar-r)this compound delays the eggs hatching thus retards the larvae.

hort oil any home and garden center should have it .(lesco) it s an oil that will sitck to leaves and branches insects dont like it
