Iraq having a stable and lasting democractic government, with no threat to that govt because of civil war.

Currently on schedule to be completed about the same time the poles melt (the same as a snowball's chance in hell).

A self sustaining government...Or an outright failure of that in the form of a civil war...That is if they totally drop the ball and are too lazy to "get out of bed".

The last big offensive that occurred was done by Iraqi troops with very limited help by the Americans. The Americans role was more resupply and air support. That is a positive step in the right direction. Long over due but a good sign at least in what has turned into a debacle....all thanks to a hateful and divisive media, an all talk no action President and a Defense Secretary that couldn't win a game of checkers with a 5 year old...And a way too easily coerced public that has for the most part undermined the war effort since the word go ie the media brainwashed masses.

Iraq just happened to be the easiest target to overthrow and place our troops in the middle east for wars that will start soon.

We could have already brought our troops home years ago, George Bush has plans to take on Iran and Syria in the very near future, If we had to redeploy our troops that would take much longer and require new permission from congress, As long as the Iraq war is still going on, He has the forces in place already for the next war.

It will never happen.

We do not leave a country that we fought in. Look at Cuba we still have soldiers in Guantanamo from the Spanish American war.

WWI and WWII Germany Japan etc.

We do not come home.

the issue is beyond iraq, its about the west tryin to intervene with the mid east since after WW2... palestine, lebanon, iraq, afghanistan..... as long as america, britain, and israel continue to be tyrant, kill and invade mid eastern countries, there will always be retaliatory actions by the arab nations, or muslim nations to bring justice to the victims... so its better for the west to stop intervening and compensate the damages
