What's a liberal?

Ok, I was thinking about this last night, people talk about liberals all the time. But, what is a liberal for real? Is it someone who swims against the current and wants to oppose what people has gotten used to do throughout history? Is it someone who just wants to have an anarchy? Please help me put my thoughts about this in order.

the term is generally aimed at Democrats by Republicans.
Most people use it as deragotory.

I think being liberal means to be open to new ideas and suggestions.

Some people are "TOO LIBERAL" and expect radical change.
Other people are so "set in their ways" that they are close minded to any new ideas.

You can be a liberal republican or a conservative democrat.

properly, lessee. a million#- i'm professional selection. i'm a guy, so i have not had an abortion. My spouse miscarried, and that sucked. yet I nevertheless imagine that call is as a lot because the female, her well being care service and HER beliefs. #2- i imagine you could own all the guns you want.
