I've found most men are focused, one track and problem fixers. Not bashing men at all. this makes them good at a lot of things. They need reasons. Their not always comfortable with the Grey areas. They sometimes fear the unknown. Not sharing everything. They think the worse.
If you have a guy who's just a friend, you can vent for hours. If your in a relationship. They don't just listen they have to give input, resolutions or downgrade to what your saying, as no big deal.
My guy can say he's going to the store, not in the mood, had a rough day. I don't ask questions. But if i say I'm going into town. he'll ask for what? If I'm not in the mood, he takes it as a personal reaction, unless I give him my medical and physical history for the day? If I say I had a crappy day, He wants to know why, then talks it to death. Whaddup with that.
It aggravating as women to have to explain or come up with a reason for every thing. But hey women do it too.

Wow! Are you blond? Just kidding ;-).
Actually, it's funny to hear a woman say that most things women do are for no reazon OR women don't even realize what they're doing. Sounds like you're describing a 5 year old.
Men seek reasons because we're more logical than women, generally speaking. If you ask us why we've done something, we will tell you because we think things through before actually doing them.
But no matter what, I LOVE me some women!!

imho the problem here is that if a man cannot determine a reason why something was done then there is no reliable way to predict when and if that thing will be done again.
this is equally true for good things as it is for bad. if my wife greets me at the door and jumps my bones almost before i'm even in the house i want to know why so i can set up circumstances so that she'll feel like doing that again. if instead she is mopey and moody all night i want to know why so i can manage things so that whatever triggered that mood doesn't happen again or so that i can at least be prepared for it when it does.

Right on! Some men accept it, but i's just the way of the world...in their minds it is not logical. To them everything has a reason. But like I said, not all men think that way.

I do stuff for a reason... And I can usually explain it when challenged. If a woman is ignorant and doesn't have a clue why she does the stuff she does, that's not men's fault.

Because men don't have the same great minds that women have therefor they'll never understand half of our actions.
But hey, it is what seperates us from them (aside from body parts)!

It's a Mars/Venus issue - in my opinion. Women are more likely to act on instinct.
It's one of the great mysteries of loving a woman.... ;)...
If we had you guys all figured out, then how much fun would THAT be?!? LOL!

Same thing for women too. Why do women always ask us where we are going? I think we ask because we care.

Because we tend to follow logical thought patterns... and in our minds everything we do seems to be related to some forethought...
