The S-coordinate Primitive Equation Model (SPEM) is a finite difference ocean circulation model. It has been used for a wide variety of regional and basin scale applications, as well as more idealized problems. It has been described in Haidvogel et al. (1991, JCP) and in the SPEM 3.9 User's Guide. This is the latest version of the manual and is mandatory reading for using the model. It is also available in hardcopy from kate@ahab.rutgers.edu.

Sperm are created in a man's testicle via cell division. Contrary to what "mommy" says, men produce sperm continuously (women are born with all the eggs they will ever have, hence the confusion.)

Sperm is created in Meiosis. I think. Don't quote me. It's a type of cell division. If you want to get technical, spermiogenisis. (The female counterpart to this would be Oogenisis).
