Hey Illy,
Lots - The Zoo, Balboa park, Blacks Beach (technically north of San Diego), Downtown, Coronado, Old Town, Many fishing piers, missions, tropical places, desert places, close to Tijuana, lots of boating. And the US Navy is big time there.

I'm not from there...only visited twice.
But, wow!
I love that city!
First off, let me say that "fun places" depend on the age/s of person/s visiting.
I enjoyed the tour of the aircraft carrier, the Little Italy & Gaslamp Section of town, Balboa Park (with its zoo, model train display, etc), Cabrillo National Monument and the coastline area.
If so inclined, I would also reccomend a day trip to El Cajon to visit the Taylor guitar factory...of course, I play guitar and found this tour fascinating (you might not - but you would come away with an appreciation of how these world-class guitars are made).
I would also encourage you to visit the little towns up and down the coastline...I love Cardiff-by-the-Sea, the San Elijo Lagoon and all the great (fresh) seafood restaurants along the way.

San Diego has great beaches and the famous SD Zoo
There is a new baseball park downtown, and you can take a trolley down to the boarder. You can walk across into Mexico and spend the day in Tijuana
The weather is always great and there is lots to see and do

beaches, outdoor malls (Thank-you warm weather), lots of handsome men, loads of friendly people, did I mention great weather? Also, cute neighborhoods and a music scene.

Besides countless illegal Mexicans, there are many things to see there. The beach, amusement parks, Sea World, more illegal Mexicans....
