It seems like everyone that comes on the miami ink cable show on cable has a story for their tatoo.

Of course...you don't just want to put whatever on your body...HELLO!!! It's permanent!!!! If you get something tattoo'd onto your body, you'd better have a good story or reason for it.

It's not just with tattoo's, most people have a reason or story behind everything they do, why else would you do something if you had no reason for doing it. If you cut your hair, you have a reason, ie it was looking untidy, you were going somewhere special, you had seen a style you like. Only thing with tattoo's they are a bit addictive, when I had the first one, I said NEVER AGAIN, it was bloody painful, the tattoo guy said 'You will be back' he was right. i am a grandmother not a young person, but I love my tattoo's. There you are, that's my story!!!

We all have a story to tell. Something has happened to each and everyone of us and we want the world to know it. It's just our nature. There would be no show if there were no stories to tell. Eveyone who has a tattoo has a story within that tattoo too. They mean something to us, it's a apart of our lives that we like having on display. Our stories are what make us special and different from our fellow humans.

It's good to have a story. Mine does, however I also don't think there is anything wrong with getting a tattoo simply because one finds it beautiful.

Well that's kind of what makes the show. If people went in and looked at books and said... "I'd like that rose on my... shoulder blade" I don't think it would be as interesting.

i do!! my tatoo is special cause it s about my mom and daughter and i got it just b4 a year that my mom past away

I wondered that, too! I've got 6 tattoos and none of them have really deep stories behind them! One of them I got just 'cause I loved the way it looked and when people ask me "Why'd you get that done" I just shrug and say "I dunno. I just liked the design!" :)
