I'm 24 weeks pregnant and about 3 days ago I saw a small drop of clear liquid leaking from my nipple and when I squeezed it a little more came out, but not much. Everyday since then if I squeeze my breast some comes out. It is clear in color (looks like water).

Is this normal? and what is it?

Thanks!

Its perfectly normal...its called colostrum. You are lactating. Colostrum is the stuff that comes before your milk comes in before the baby is born. Its fine...its only ever a few drops unless you have a baby nursing.

I started leaking the clear fluid as well around 24 weeks as well. I asked my doc. about it and she said it was fine, just my body getting ready for the milk. No worries, just go and get some bra pads if it gets to bad.

Very normal!

You will want pads for your bra to keep from leaking through! You can get disposable ones but you can get cloth ones to, I got 2 sets for like 14$ and they went in the washing machine in a mesh bag.

You will need them even more after the baby gets here so stock up now!

Yes it is normal. It is called colostrum, which is the liquid that is there prior to the milk coming in after the baby is born.

yes that is perfectly normal. Your body is getting ready for you to start lactating when you deliver. The first few day you breast feed it will look watery, but this is the colustrum, the most important fluid for your baby to drink. Don't worry, its just your body preparing for the baby.

It is colostrum which is what your baby will get for the first few days before you produce milk. It is normal to see it during pregnancy.

Yup, perfectly normal! It's colostrum. It's the vitamin and antibodoy rich premilk your body produces. It's very good and awesome for your baby if you are going to breastfeed.

Yes, its colostrum. Pre-milk, in other words. If you plan to breastfeed, that will be the first thing your baby will have the first few days, then after that, your actual milk will come in.
