Why can't more people be like them? Although from opposite parties, they seem fair and balanced in their judgement. They don't get dragged in the stupid "my team is better than yours" B.S.
WHo do you personally like?.

I really like them both. Colin Powell, might get my vote for President, if he ran, and I'm a Democrat.

Barack Obama would get my vote, and a LOT of other votes. But I think he needs to be in a second term before he decided to run.

As far as being good people, you're right on. Obama has made quite an effort to reach across the aisle, and has cosponsored at least 2 bills with a Republican (and he's only been in 2 years.) That's the sign of someone who's not going to let bickering stand in the way of what needs to be done.

I think Powell's the same way. He disagreed with Bush over Iraq. That was gutsy. I don't think he'd be afraid to side with someone with opposing views if it were for the good of the country.

I admire them both, but I give Sen Obama a slight edge.
At least Colin Powell finally had enough sense to distance himself from "W"

Sen Obama, he is the future, like a modern day Black Jack Kennedy.

PS: Was he born in the US? If he isn't then no White House run for him.
Then again, it will be tough for a Black man to win the Presidency, but who knows, they were saying the same things in golf.

Powell totally lost my respect. He lied for Bush, and he knew it was "bull****", in his own words.

In front of the UN, and in an effort to convince the U.S. to support war in Iraq.

I used to like him.. I thought don't ask don't tell was, while still horrible discrimination, at least a compromise.

Powell should be prosecuted with the rest.

unfortunately Bush destoyed Powell's political career. Obama hasn't gone around the block enough yet, although his future looks bright.

Richardson, Gov of NM might be interesting.

Maybe a new rule: anyone wanting to be president is disqualified.

Only an individual drafted by the people may serve.

both. Powell used to be suspect but I liked how he stood up and let them know he would not be used anymore.
Obama is still a little suspect to me cause I've seen good men be bought before and I need more time to evaluate his backbone. But it looks good for him right now.
