i moved to NC 5 yrs ago, i have no friends here, nor a job, my health has been worse since comming to NC. I want to just pack up and leave this awful place. I am used to having my 4 seasons, and i don't have that here, and i miss the rest of my family. What can i do to get him to change his mind on staying here the rest of his life?

What does your husband have holding him in NC? Family? A good Job? Mistress?
If you want to pack up and leave, then do so! You don't have anything holding you there except for a husband, and he can be replaced.

If it's been 5yrs. and you have no friends, then I have to wonder why? Have you tried to make friends? Why don't you have a job? Is it because you don't want one, or can't find anywhere you fit in? I need more info. so I can help you. I can relate. Is your hubby helpful in trying to help you fit in? He should at least be trying to take you out, be social, so that you have some purpose other than to stay home and be his wife. What is his attitude on your boredom, or unhappiness? if he doesn't want to go there, then you should move back, why did you move away in the first place?

I guess go back for a visit... ask him why he would not want to go there... and maybe find somewhere inbetween.
