I bought a Ford KA in 2003. It was a 51 plate. I bought it from a main dealer Reg Vardy Walsall. I saw the car in a holding lot at the back of the dealership. It had an alarm air con etc. Decided I wanted it, it had 22K, now has 39K on the clock. Went and completed the paperwork and purchased the car picked it up a week later and the alarm had been removed as standard. I told them I bought a car with an alarm and wanted it back they took the car and fixed the alarm. Then it got a leak from where the alaram was fitted I took it back. The engine light was stuck on when it was returned I took it back. The heater broke. Air con broke. Then it failed the MOT 2005 on the steering rack I took it back. it has just failed the MOT 2006 on the steering rack again. It has been classed as dangerous on the MOT fail paperwork. Any advice? I'm going to have to drive it back again to get it done and it's leathal? Is under warranty till 07, can they collect it? Who can I complain to? Help!!!!!

Check your contract and see what is covered under warranty. You can't complain but you can take them to court.

I'm thinking you got a serious LEMON here. Have it towed back to them...the steering rack issue is covered under warranty. And once they've fixed it, get rid of it. Go to the manager of the dealership and show him the paperwork on all the problems you've had with this car and ask what they can do to make it right, or trade you into a reliable car at a darn good price. Lay on all the guilt you can, and don't be above inferring that you are considering your remedies at law. Don't keep this car though; you are going to have nothing but more problems. If you can't get anywhere with the dealer, I'd at least consult a lawyer to discuss any options you may have as far as recourse against the seller.

I think I know why it was on the BACK lot.

Good Luck

Your local Chamber of Commerce. You can also try your local radio or TV station. They sometimes look into complaints and deal with the companies. The car definitly sounds leathal. Sometimes a letter or email to the manufactorer on the vehical can help. Dealships do not like to get on the bad side of their suppliers.

Sounds like they never safety checked the car or emmisioned it either...thats why you shouldn't buy cars from the back lot...they aren't really supposed to sell it to you. More than likely put a bandaid on it and said well its under warranty and when you figure it out they'll fix it then.
