No they don't - If you think so then it's because the objects' reflections you see in the mirror are farther away than the objects themselves.

To answer your question more fully you need to understand why objects that are far away appear to be smaller than objects of the same size but are closer.

While this might seem to be a trivial question, it's not really possible to answer it satisfactorily without having at least a basic understanding of optics, the physics of how lenses work.

Only when you stand away from it. Of course it's no different than when an object is twice as far away from your eye as the mirror is.

No, it appears smaller because you are looking at yourself twice the distance between you and the mirror.
