It was the Daily Mirror. Vanguard I don't think so. She was the tabloid equivalent of big brother. Strange, I'm getting suspicious that she might be posting the question. If you are, good luck, I thought you died years ago.

I don't know what baulk vanguard means either. Daily Mirror 1970s.
