I mean, really, no one in the world respects the dumb organization. What good is it? Any opinions?

To the liberals and the 3rd world, they are utilized as an anti-American soap box. Anything with an end result of the destruction of America is copacetic with both the liberal and UN agenda.

Actually, most of the world DO respect the organisation... Except USA, whose residents seem to be disenchanted with it.
It is in fact the only medium where things might be solved when it might otherwise start a war... For example, a significant part of the UN is to mediate regional disputes.

The UN is a highly respected and important peace-keeping organisation. The problem is, when countries like America and to a lesser extent, the UK go around ignoring it's rulings, then of course it becomes devalued.

Sure, there was that one time when they.....umm. Hold on, give me a second, I'm sure I can think of something...
...ok, so I can't think of anything in the last 50 years that they've done, but that doesn't mean anything. Surely they've done something important or we wouldn't still be giving them hundreds of millions of dollars every year.
Anyway, it's not whether or not they've done anything that's important, it's their intentions. Never judge by results, only by intentions, that's the U.N. way.

the world respects the u.n. only when it is used against the U.S.,or Israel.I bet harry s. Truman never envisioned the u.n. would be used against the U.S. the way it is today,poor Truman is probably rolling in his grave today.

the UN is a waste of space, they cant even keep themselves in line , much less anyone else. they are the biggest joke there is.
