He's a 49 y/o interested in male to female sexual reassignment surgery. He's on SSI and limited income but was wondering if there is any financial assistance that will not interfere with his SSI benefits. He is needing aid with therapy both hormonal and psychological, not to mention surgery. Any assistance is appreciated and i will forward the information to him.

Has he been on the web? I would start by calling Gay and Lesbian centers to get info. Here in Long Beach CA they know everything and I am sure that they can at least refer him to the right place. If he is living in a place where there are not many services he might consider moving to a gay friendly community, such as LB. He is going to need all the support he can get.

Why the hell should my tax dollars help pay for this guy's mental problem? If he can't afford to pay for his own mutilation, then I guess he has to continue to be a man. If anybody thinks this is worth donating to, then you have some problems your self.
