its probably spam.

spammers will give a fake date to the emails they send. Email programs usually put the most recent emails on top. If they put a future date on their email, it will always be on top.

Probably the clock on the sending computer isn't set properly. I know when I receive emails from my friend's work computer, they show up halfway down the list, beneath ones a few hours old, because her computer's time isn't set correctly.

Depends on if all emails are coming in this way, or just email from one person.

All emails - check your calendar settings
Double left click your time at the lower right hand corner of your screen.

Emails from one person - probably their calendar settings.

I have gotten a few of those before.

They were from spammers that are just wanting to make sure that there email stays up top of your other emails...
