We have engaged in many wars to defend other countries. Therefore, we worked with allies also interested in defending those other countries. In the case of Iraq, we were defending Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. We first helped drive Saddam's tanks out of Saudi Arabia with a coalition of forces from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Then, Kuwait with a military coalition from several nations including Canada, Australia, Britain and Germany. Other nations continue to help with the peacekeeping effort there as we build Iraq's ability to defend itself.

I think Afghanistan is about as close to 'going it alone' as we have ever come.

We are in a mutual defense situation with our allies - and allies are those who will stick up for our interests too.

Are you volunteering to be a combat soldier on the front line for as long as the war lasts or until you are killed?

If not, how dare you?

Could you explain what "take war into their own hands" means?

You see, first they're going to make Iraq a democratic country, a free country.
At the same time, they will convince Pakistan with India's Aid to shutup!
Right now, they are wiping all the terrorists in Afghanistan :) .

Next, they're going to Bomb IRAN ;o !
