Yea, I know NOTHING about Apple products.

What's an Apple laptop that I could get for around, say, $50? I don't know anything about their laptops, but I want one of theirs from the 90s

What all could I do with it and such?

Yea, so I don't know what the lifespan of the older, 90s Apple laptops are. Or what operating system it runs on (or could run on.-- linux, possibly?) Or if you could type papers on it. or what programs you could buy and/or install on it. yea.

basically, a cheap older apple laptop (from the 90s) that you can type papers on, and simply get a feel for the the older apple OS, and shall eventually be dissected by the ends of my curious fingertips.

(oh, and also, do the laptops usually have a port to plug a printer in at?)

The older black and white Mac laptops don't have a lot of value. Check eBay. I would guess that you can get system 9 to run some of the later models (depending upon memory) There is no reason you can't run any of a number of word processing programs including Appleworks (or Clarisworks) and others. The later laptops us a special plug for printers, but you should be able to buy an adaptor to be able to use a network printer or a USB printer. Check out some the vintage Mac sites.

Do a Google search for "vintage Macs". I doubt you'll find an Apple notebook from the 90's for $50, unless it's completely dead. I'm not sure if Linux would run on PowerPCs that old and slow. I know it runs fine on newer PowerPCs. A vintage Mac site will tell you which operating systems can run on which vintage Macs. They are very detailed. Good luck and all, but you should really get a MacBook.
