Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

How do you know that it is a yeast infection?

Presumably you already have tried self treatment or you would not be asking the Q I suggest that you see your doctor for confirmation and if necessary swabs.also it maybe necessary to exclude diabetes.

it would be useful to know your age/on pill/children etc and sexual history More likely to get fungus if pregnant/on pill/diabetic Is there any chance that you have a STD? but think/hope that it is a yeast infection and not any thing else Assuming that it is a fungus infection 1)no bath salts/oils/bubble bath/perfumed soap/vaginal deodorants etc They remove natural protection 2)cotton underwear 3)nystatin cream /pessaries-also cream under foreskin of partner 4)Diflucan-fluconazole by mouth would clear bowel of yeast as bowel can often be a source of reinfection-available over the counter UK

If you wash your panties in some detergents you can damage the good bacteria you want to keep. I found I had to change to a non-biological powder and had no trouble after that.

Yes, chemicals, such as inks, dyes, and perfumes, can upset the balance in your crotch or trigger allergic reactions that lead to yeast infections.

No, ususally yeast is because of wetness, or from sex sperm left in the vagina over night, too little bacteria so yeast take over.

yes i would say so. especially if it highly fragranced or perfumed. You might have some kind of intolerance to a certain product or fragrance. I am the same with certain fragranced bubble baths. i can only use certain ones.
